We are collecting international foods for the Homeless Education Resource Office (HERO) pantry.

Metro Nashville Public Schools HERO pantry has proven to be a great success this school year and is expanding its reach this semester. Many families in Nashville who are temporarily in unstable housing and served by the HERO Program are new to our country. The HERO team wants emergency food assistance for these families to be a source of comfort and joy, and in collaboration with school support staff who work primarily with refugee and immigrant families, have determined what shelf-stable foods would be most helpful to these families. As a result we are collecting foods that have crossover appeal among Middle Eastern, African, and Latin American families. Let's fill the shelves with these culturally-responsive grocery items and warm some hearts and fill some bellies!

Donations can be left in the baskets marked "HERO collection" in the Iris Room entrance area. For questions, contact Gretchen Napier.
