In room 122. Raise the Roof Academy provides a free, high-quality education to girls and boys born in the most remote communities of Uganda who, due to poverty and social pressures, would otherwise be cut off from the promise of education. Raise the Roof Academy students are living proof that education opens doors out of poverty, child labor, disease, and chaos. The mission of Raise the Roof Academy is to educate the whole student by building relationships and education centers that cultivate a culture of learning and offer God’s love through empowerment opportunities. RTRA was founded by the Rev. David Ssebulime, Director of Missions & Outreach at Brentwood United Methodist Church.
