Tessa Del Pino named new executive director of TNJFON

Belmont UMC’s Tessa Lemos Del Pino, J.D., has been named the new executive director of Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors (TNJFON).

Founded by Belmont UMC in 2008, TNJFON provides affordable, high-quality immigration legal services to immigrants and refugees, educates the public and faith-based communities about immigration-related issues, and advocates for immigrant rights. It is a member of the National Justice for Our Neighbors network, a ministry of The United Methodist Church. “Serving as the executive director of Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors is an opportunity to bring my training, work experience, and passion to the table. It truly feels like the culmination of all my education and work experience leading to this moment,” Tessa says. Other Belmont UMC members who are active with TNJFON are Jeff Sheehan, incoming chair of TNJFON’s board; Victoria Rebeck and Allysa Curran, board members; and Carolyn Thompson and Emma Tsai, clinic volunteers.
