Clay is an audio engineer and technical director with a background in theater, studio, soundstage, festival, and nightclub environments. He’s a graduate of The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Phoenix, Arizona. Clay began his career as an intern at The Music Shed Studios where he eventually became an assistant engineer working with the likes of Dr. John, Allen Toussaint, R.E.M., Icona Pop, Bill Murray, Christopher Walken, and hundreds of other artists. He went on to work in the corporate world as an AV Tech with clients such as Microsoft, Frito-Lay, and The US Government. Eventually, Clay started his own LLC and worked his way through several New Orleans nightclubs landing the role as Audio lead at the famous House of Blues. He has also been on tour with Grammy nominated Tank & The Bangas and ran sound for Moyuba 2 years in a row at the famous New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. During the pandemic he specialized in mobile live streaming and multi-tracking to help stay afloat. After his incredible tenure in Louisiana he made his way to Nashville where he hopes to become a valued asset of Belmont UMC.

Clay enjoys multimedia art, video programming, crawfish boils, kayaking, books, world music, and video games.
