Golden Triangle Fellowship at Belmont United Methodist Church
The Golden Triangle Fellowship (GTF) holds Sunday morning worship service in the Community Center of Belmont United Methodist Church. The service translated into Karen and Thai, is often attended by 200+ persons. Rev. Sandy Sakarepanee, Rev. Adam Kelchner, Carver Hla, Kwa Ngah, and Caleb Bullock provide leadership for this community and its ministries.
Adult Sunday School: The GTF adult Sunday school class meets in the Community Center on Sunday morning, 9:15-10:15, before the Sunday morning worship service. The class includes about 25 members who study the Bible under the leadership of various lay leaders.
Youth Sunday School: GTF youth meet on the third floor in the Sunday School wing at Belmont United Methodist Church from 9:15-10:15 Sunday mornings. A class is available for youth (6th-12th grade).
Children’s Sunday School: Children’s Sunday School classes are fully integrated and meet on the second floor of the Sunday School wing at Belmont UMC, 9:15-10:15. Children’s classes are available for age 3-grade 5.
Youth Choir: A youth choir of approximately 20 people gather weekly at a member’s home for rehearsal and Bible study with the leadership of Choo Lah Wah. The youth choir offers special music each Sunday during 10:30 worship
United Methodist Women: The GTF United Methodist Women meets every third Saturday of the month at the home of one of the members. The GTF United Methodist Women do meet with additional Belmont women’s circles for fellowship events.
Men’s group: The GTF men’s group meets monthly at various homes or apartments of members.
Scholars Program (SEE): During the fall and spring academic semesters, Golden Triangle high school youth participate in an educational enrichment program focused on English reading, writing, and speaking. The mission of this program is to assist high school students in graduating from high school and prepare for continuing education.
Regular events, besides worship, include monthly sewing classes at a member's apartment, in-season weekly soccer for children, and an annual Christmas party for families in the Community Center at Belmont United Methodist.
