Belmont UMC loves having children in worship! We believe that being in church is a meaningful way for children to engage while learning about faith and community, singing, praying, admiring the stained glass windows, listening for key words in the sermon, and experiencing the joy of Communion. We also understand that little ones may get restless or need something to help them stay engaged during worship. After thoughtful planning, our worship bags for children are ready! Starting this Sunday, families can pick one up as they enter the sanctuary.
The worship bags are organized by age group, and we kindly ask that parents supervise their children while using them. If a particular toy isn’t the right fit for your child, feel free to swap or set it aside. After worship, bags can be returned to the “used bag” tub. Toys will be sanitized, and crayons and paper will be refreshed each week.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please contact Brittany Jordan.
A huge thank you to Brittany Jordan and Jennifer Bagwell for their work ordering and organizing the bags! We’re also incredibly grateful to the parents who helped stuff them—who knew volunteering could be so much fun?
