This past week, the resignations of Jean Voorhees, EnaShea Kohler, and Laura Hamilton at the Belmont Weekday School (WDS) came as a sad and unwanted surprise to us all. Like you, our clergy and lay leaders were caught off guard by the resignations of these gifted and caring WDS leaders. We all hold the welfare, nurture and education of the children in the WDS in the highest regard. We are thankful for our WDS leadership and classroom teachers who provide such excellent care for the children. We are resolved to continue Belmont United Methodist’s tradition of excellent care of our WDS children and to secure excellent interim leadership and long-term WDS administrative leadership. If you have any questions or concerns, Pastors Kate Fields, Heather Harriss, Darren Wright, and myself would be honored to hear from you. The WDS has been serving families in the village for over 72 years, and we plan to continue this important ministry for many years to come. Grace and Peace, Pastor Paul.
