Fall garden talk and Seed and Starter “Swap and Share”

The Seed and Starter “Swap and Share” is back for fall, and this year we’re adding a fall garden talk! Join Belmont gardeners on Wednesday, September 9, beginning at 4:45pm in the Community Center foyer, where free seeds and starter plants will be available. Offerings will include blue star amsonia, Mexican petunia, hydrangeas, lamb’s ear, iris bulbs, echinacea, kale, collards, black-eyed Susans, Lenten roses, cosmos, yellow coneflower, bachelor’s buttons, columbine, and more.

At 6:00pm, stay for the fall garden talk, featuring brief presentations on composting, creative uses for fall leaves, Metro’s Smart Yard program, starting perennials for winter sowing, and saving fall seeds for spring planting. Bring your questions—and your own gardening experience to share!
