As a child, one of my favorite memories of Vacation Bible School was drinking red Kool-Aid and eating vanilla sandwich cookies for our snack. In Sunday school, we sang “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” Today, as a teacher, I would probably choose a healthier snack for our children, and we would sing “The Whole World is in God’s Hands” to give a broader view. I’m sure we all have different childhood memories of church, and hopefully, we can agree that the memories of our children here at Belmont should affirm to them that God is love and that they feel that love through us as parents and teachers.
Would you like to share God’s love with our children as a Sunday school teacher? You don’t have to be a teacher by trade; we will support you with curriculum and ideas. Whether you can assist twice a month or every Sunday, there is a place for you on our teaching teams!
