New opportunities to be involved with ministries supported by Belmont UMC

Belmont UMC's Outreach Committee is sponsoring a new approach designed to focus on ministries that need our help. Many in the church are already involved. Others have suggestions on how we can do more. Others are looking for ways to be involved. This is what is planned:

Collaborative meeting on outreach to the homeless. Planned for Monday, February 27, at 5:00pm in room 204. We want to bring together those involved in any committee or organization that is focused on helping the homeless; those who are already working on initiatives or who would like to help. It will be a time for sharing what we have been doing and planning for the coming year. We also invite any who have an interest or ideas to share. If you are interested, contact Steve Bryant or Gayle Morin.

Collaborative meeting on outreach to children in underserved neighborhoods. On Monday, March 27, come hear about the exciting new initiatives to work with other churches such as building a new childcare center the Ebenezer Church neighborhood, sponsoring five scholarships for underserved children to attend Belmont Weekday School, etc.

Collaborative meetings being planned in May on outreach to our global church partners. Details to be announced.

These Outreach collaboratives are opportunities for any in the church community to join with others around a single burning concern where we are already involved. Contact Steve or Gayle if you are interested.
