Make plans to join us on Friday, June 13, at 7:30pm for Nashville in Harmony’s (NIH) Songs for a New South concert in the Belmont UMC sanctuary!
This powerful program features new music submitted by Southern composers and lifts up marginalized voices as we reclaim and celebrate core Southern values: resilience, hope, hospitality, diversity, and acceptance. The concert will also include a special performance by NIH’s youth chorus, the Major Minors.
Over the June 13 weekend, NIH will also share Songs for a New South with audiences in Florence, AL, and Bowling Green, KY. Later this year, the music will be released on streaming platforms, with all proceeds benefiting LaunchPad – a network of temporary, safer, street-free shelters for unhoused young adults that are open and affirming to LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies.
