Hunter Wade to continue on staff as Discipleship Pathways Associate

Our Staff Parish Relations Committee is pleased to announce that Hunter Wade, who has served in a half-time interim role during Rev. Heather Harriss’s sabbatical will be continuing on our staff through the remainder of 2025. Hunter will continue her leadership as the TWKUMC Director of the Belmont University Wesley Fellowship and will serve half time at Belmont UMC, helping us implement a new discipleship pathway and helping members and guests connect more deeply with our faith community. Growing churches today are clear about and focused on their discipleship systems and helping people connect to discipleship communities. A strong Discipleship Pathways ministry is critical to our being a church that offers the promise of growing in knowing God and living with purpose, especially for new and younger members, but also for our fulfilling our mission of being a bright light of faith, hope, and love in a difficult time in our city. We are excited that Hunter will be continuing with our staff to assist in this ministry.

Hunter has shared that she has loved getting to know and serve our Belmont UMC community over the summer and is so looking forward to continuing in this work! New opportunities for engaging in discipleship will be coming soon; be on the lookout for more information!
