Find the way or ways that work best for you!
How to give: Smartphone app
Hopefully by now, you’ve learned how our Realm church software can help you connect with fellow church members. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to download the “Realm Connect” app to your smartphone. Once you’ve logged in, you can click on the “Giving” button at the bottom to see your giving history for the year. Once there, you can also click on the words “Make a Gift” to go to our online giving portal where you can make a one-time gift (“Give Once”) or set up a recurring transaction (“Give Multiple Times”). You are welcome to use a credit card, debit card, or draft from your bank account. You even have the option to contribute a little extra to offset the processing costs.

How to give: Text to give
Texting has become a nearly ubiquitous way to communicate. I’ll text my wife to see if I need to pick up anything at the grocery store, or I’ll text my friends to see if they’re up for an online game night. I’ve even texted to share my opinion with my representatives in Congress!
One other use of texting is to make a quick donation to the church. It’s so simple! Just text BELMONT to 73256. You’ll immediately receive a text back with a link to our online giving site. Click the link, fill out the amount, choose the fund, enter your payment info, and click give. You can even choose to save your payment info so your next text gift will be even quicker!

How to give: Banking bill pay
Did you know that most banks will mail a check for you at no cost? Perhaps you’ve already set this up to pay your utility bill or other recurring transactions. Have you thought of making your gift to the church this way? Just log on to your online banking site, set up Belmont UMC as a payee, and choose your amount and date. You can make a one-time gift or even set up a regularly recurring check to be mailed out every week, every two weeks, or every month. Contact your local bank if you have questions on how to get started.

How to give: Auto draft
Did you know that more than 80 Belmont families give a combined $28,700 each month through auto-draft? It’s safe, secure, and processed here in the church office. It’s the simplest, most consistent, and most cost-effective way for the church to receive funds. Each month on the 5th or 20th, we can withdraw an amount you choose directly from your checking or savings account to the church’s account. Changing your amount, date, or putting your gift on hold is as easy as writing an email to Mark. If you are interested in setting up an auto draft or learning more, contact Mark Hagewood.
How to give: Online giving
Isn’t it amazing how many financial transactions we make online these days? Whether it’s an order from Amazon, a dinner delivery from DoorDash when we just can’t bear to cook one more time, or paying a doctor’s bill, we use our credit and debit cards online nearly everyday. Did you know you can also make a donation to the church online? Just visit onrealm.org/BelmontUMC/-/give/now and enter your information. Choose your amount and the fund you’d like to give to. You can then choose to make a one-time gift (“Give Once”) or set up a recurring gift (“Give Multiple Times”). If you have logged in to onrealm.org first, you can even securely save your payment information.

How to give: Checks
For many of us, our earliest memories of giving to the church as a child include excitedly dropping money into the offering plate as it was passed down the pew while the choir sang a beautiful anthem. While putting a check in the mail doesn’t create the same beautiful clink of a quarter hitting the brass plate, you can still find joy by giving through mail. And as an added bonus, purchasing stamps helps the Post Office and our hardworking letter carriers!
To give by check, make your check payable to Belmont UMC and mail it to: Belmont UMC, P.O. Box 120098, Nashville, TN 37212. If you want to give to a specific fund, such as the Benevolence Fund or a memorial gift, be sure to clearly print that in the memo line of the check.
