Belmont UMC’s annual Feast of Lights will be held on a new day and at a new time this year – Saturday, December 13, at 5:00pm in the sanctuary. Although the timing has changed, the service still follows the traditional Lessons and Carols format conceived in the late nineteenth century, telling the Christmas story through a beautiful sequence of readings, prayers, and music.
Led by Belmont UMC’s Music Ministry, the Feast of Lights features the Sanctuary Choir, Open Door Singers, and Chapel Choir, accompanied by organ and orchestra. The Carillon Ringers, one of our bell choirs, will also offer music of the season.
For more than 70 years, this beloved service has ushered in the joy and wonder of the season. Make plans to attend. Preschool childcare will be available.
