Belmont United Methodist Church is a community of Christ-followers growing in love of God and neighbor. We believe it is important to restate and underscore who Belmont is to our church and the community. Our Welcome Statement, adopted in 2013, is our guide. We are committed to leading with love, in response to God's love, poured out for ALL.

On March 31, the Administrative Board approved an Engagement Plan that calls for Belmont members to actively work in teams to respond to the actions of February's General Conference. We all have work to do. Belmont will be watching closely as developments continue on the denomination level, and we will be thoughtful and proactive as to how we respond. We are reaching out to like-minded churches in this conference and beyond. We need to fully understand the implications and the opportunities for Belmont. At the same time, ministry goes on in our church, our city, and the world. We will not be deterred from continued growth in ministry through worship, spiritual growth for all ages, and service in both our neighborhood and in all of God's hurting world. Marginalized people need love and care; we need to reach out to those people and welcome them. We need to listen to God through worship, prayer, and study. Belmont's history took a big turn but together in love, we will figure this out. Join us for the journey!
