Creative nonviolence in a moment of urgency

Join us Wednesday, September 16, at 6:00pm in room 124 for a special program with Dr. Taure Brown. Drawing on the legacy of Rev. James Lawson and the ongoing work of the James Lawson Institute at Vanderbilt University, Dr. Brown will explore what it means to practice creative, courageous nonviolent resistance in a society deeply marked by violence and injustice. Together, we’ll consider how to move beyond symbolic gestures toward resistance rooted in conviction and hope.
