A birthday gift for Jesus: The Christmas Miracle Offering

Each Advent, Belmonters come together to give a special birthday gift to Jesus — our Christmas Miracle Offering. This year’s offering will support the Homeless Education Resource Office (HERO) for Metro Nashville Public Schools.

HERO works tirelessly to ensure that children and youth experiencing homelessness have what they need to succeed in school. More than 4,000 MNPS students navigate homelessness each year. HERO provides essential resources, support, and referrals to help these students not only stay in school but thrive.

This year, the funds collected through our Christmas Miracle Offering will support HERO students who are making the incredible leap from high school to college — a milestone that often comes with unexpected expenses such as dorm supplies, university fees, or even a specialized computer for certain programs. For many of these students, those costs can feel overwhelming. HERO is committed to helping them clear that hurdle — and Belmont can help make that possible.

One student supported by HERO is Mar’Quaile, a young man who went from homelessness to college with the help of this remarkable program. HERO walked alongside him through the transition to college, provided a MacBook for his studies, and even celebrated his achievements with a graduation ceremony. You can read more about Mar’Quaile’s inspiring story here.

By giving to the Christmas Miracle Offering, you’re not only celebrating Jesus’ birth — you’re helping students like Mar’Quaile step into a future filled with hope and opportunity. Click here to give online.
