In the photo above, Imam Ossama Bahloul of the Islamic Center of Nashville expresses appreciation to Belmont UMC for hosting his congregation during Friday prayers in the month of Ramadan while their mosque was being renovated. “It should be the norm that we would see each other as the children of Adam and Eve,” Bahloul told Belmont UMC’s congregation on August 29. “It’s right to see each other as the children of God.” Bahloul made a point to bring his children, Jana and Adam, along for the visit. “I want to give my children a chance to understand about Jesus and Christianity and the Christian community. It’s only fair to Jesus for anyone to know that he did exhibit love to everyone,” he said.
