On Sunday, May 31, we will kick off a book drive in support of Eakin Elementary School’s “Volume of Reading” initiative.
Eakin Elementary School is grateful for the generosity and support of Belmont United Methodist Church as we partner together for this special book drive. Your kindness and donations help place meaningful, high-quality books into the hands of our students and make a lasting impact on their learning and love of reading.
The Wit & Wisdom “Volume of Reading” books play an important role in helping students grow into confident, capable readers. These carefully selected books are matched to students’ individual abilities and challenges, giving every child opportunities to strengthen reading skills while also experiencing the joy of successful, engaging reading.
The collection includes a wide range of high-quality texts at varying levels of complexity, allowing students to build knowledge, expand vocabulary, and develop a love of reading through topics that spark curiosity and interest. Donations to our book drive help ensure that students have access to meaningful books that support learning, growth, and lifelong literacy.
