On Wednesday, November 12, make plans to join us at 6:00pm in Parker Hall for a special Wednesday Night at Belmont (WNAB) program, Belmonters in the Round: An Evening of Songs.
Belmont UMC songwriters Ned Henry, Grayson Lee, Chuck Thompson, and Jason Spangler will share their original songs, tell a few stories, and talk about what inspires their craft.
Ned Henry previously performed with his brothers in the Nashville-based band Brother Henry, playing shows with Guster, Jars of Clay, Dave Matthews Band, and more during the 2000s. As a studio musician, he has recorded with artists such as Ben Folds, Steve Earle and Widespread Panic.
Born and raised in Culver City, CA, Grayson Lee made her way to Nashville at Belmont
University in the pursuit of a career in the music industry. She has been writing and singing for
as long as she can remember and is actively fulfilling her dream of becoming a professional
songwriter.
At the age of six, Chuck Thompson accompanied his mother to hear Chet Atkins perform, and at 16, he got his own guitar. Since then he has played bluegrass, country and folk through
opportunities as a commissioned Naval Officer and with church bands in Richmond, VA, and
Nashville. He teaches guitar for Guitars4Vets, builds electric harp guitars and co-owns

Jason Spangler was first exposed to acoustic players Ricky Skaggs and James Taylor by his
father, David, who is an accomplished fingerstyle player, and points to David Wilcox, Phil
Keaggy and John Mayer as other influences. He moved to Nashville in 1997 to pursue a music
degree at Belmont University, and has written folk, americana and country songs, as well as
instrumental compositions.
