For many years, Belmont UMC and Edgehill UMC have enjoyed a special relationship, sharing mission and ministry especially - but not exclusively - in the Edgehill neighborhood.

In 2001, the United Methodist Women (UMW) of each congregation decided to enhance this partnership by joining together annually to celebrate and share faith stories of the women in their churches. With the exception of 2020, they have met each year in late August.

This year, Belmont UMC’s UMW will host a panel discussion about the 20-year partnership on Wednesday, August 19, at 6:00pm. It will be live-streamed on Belmont’s Facebook page. Participants include former Belmont UMC senior pastor, Rev. John Collett, UMW representatives from both congregations, and others with a long history of the churches and the UMW units. It promises to be fun as well as informative. An offering will be taken to benefit the Brighter Days ministry that includes an after-school tutoring program of one-on-one relationships with children in the Edgehill neighborhood.
