Via Zoom. On February 17 we will offer three opportunities (7:00am, 12:00pm, and 6:00pm) to gather via Zoom for a liturgy of ashes. The 6:00pm service will have a children’s emphasis. Each service will be approximately 30 minutes long. You are invited to prepare for this service by collecting soil from the ground where you live and mixing water or olive oil in it to create mud that will be used for the imposition of ashes. You are also invited to bring breakfast, lunch, or dinner to whichever service you attend and join us as we will break bread together. Safety note: Please do not use ashes from a fireplace as they can have elements in them that cause skin irritation. Also, if you plan to burn palms from last year, do not combine them with water, only oil. Water with palms can cause skin burns.
