February 23-26, the United Methodist Church will hold a special General Conference to act on a report from the Commission on a Way Forward to examine paragraphs in The Book of Discipline concerning human sexuality. Belmont UMC’s welcoming statement offers a path for us to navigate our way through this season: “We believe every person is of sacred worth and created in God’s image. We commit to Jesus’ example of inclusive love, care, and intentional hospitality with persons of every race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, faith story, physical or mental ability, economic status, or political perspective. We respect . . .”

On Sundays, February 3, 10, 17, and 24, join us in Parker Hall at 9:15 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for our series “Navigating Our Way Through the Way Forward.” We will offer a time of prayer and reflection.
