Perhaps you have heard about music therapy in the news, from a friend, or are aware of music being used for healing. Maybe you have a music therapist in your life or maybe you've never heard of it! On Sunday, April 14, during the Sunday school hour, Grant Collier will present an immersive experience on the topic of music therapy. Grant is a Music Therapy major at Belmont University. He will give an overview of the history of music therapy, discuss how music therapy is being practiced currently, and facilitate a short music therapy intervention to demonstrate how it is applied in practice.
Music therapy is the evidence-based use of musical activities and interventions by a trained and board-certified individual to achieve therapeutic goals. Join us in room 122 at 9:15am on Sunday, April 14.
