Tennessee voters will decide more than candidates for state and federal office in the November 3 general election. The ballot will also include three proposed amendments to the Tennessee Constitution.
Join Liz Todaro on Wednesday, October 7, at 6:00pm in room 124 for a conversation about the proposed amendments and what they could mean for Tennesseans. Todaro, former Access to Justice Director for the Tennessee Bar Association, will focus primarily on the proposed bail amendment, which would allow judges to deny bail for certain felony offenses when specific legal standards are met.
The evening will also include information about proposed amendments that would prohibit Tennessee from imposing a state property tax and expand constitutional rights for victims of crime.
