Clarence Ward joined Belmont UMC on December 31, 2006 by transfer from another denomination. Clarence is a member of the Harbison Fellowship class.

November 2006

Rev. Pamela Dilmore affiliated with Belmont UMC on November 19, 2006. Pam is a United Methodist Clergy member of the Missouri Conference. She is currently appointed to the United Methodist Publishing House, where she serves as Lead Editor of Adult Learning and Teaching Resources.

October 2006

Beth and Paul Gilbert joined Belmont United Methodist Church on October 15, 2006 by transfer from another Christian denomination. They have three sons, Bennett, Arden, and Gram, all who sing in the Chapel Choir.

Jan Snider received the sacrament of baptism and joined Belmont UMC on Sunday, October 15, 2006. She is pictured with her husband, Belmonter Terrell McDaniel. They have two children, Ike and Maddie.

Betty and Norman Hall joined Belmont UMC on Sunday October 8, 2006 by transfer from another United Methodist Church. Betty and Norman are the parents of Belmonter Carolyn Hall.

September 2006

Rev. Sharon Howell affiliated with Belmont United Methodist Church on September 3, 2006. Sharon is an ordained elder from Kansas, and she is currently serving as the President of the Scarritt-Bennett Center.

Kim & Ryan Hutchison joined Belmont UMC on September 17, 2006. Both Ryan and Kim are doctors. They are pictured with their son Nicholas, age 3½, and daughter Morgan, 11 months. Kim and Ryan participate in the Genesis Sunday School Class and live in East Nashville.

Grace and Jordan Whitehouse, daughters of Donna Whitehouse and granddaughters of Nancy Whitehouse, received the sacrament of Baptism on September 17, 2006. Grace was born on October 16, 2000, and Jordan was born on June 21, 2004.

Lucy Margaret Cramer, daughter of Anna and Phil Cramer and sister of Caroline, received the sacrament of baptism on September 10, 2006. Lucy was born on March 31, 2006.

Lucy Claire McGarrah Sharp, daughter of Mindy and Tommy McGarrah Sharp, received the sacrament of baptism on September 10, 2006. Lucy Claire was born on March 31, 2006.

Molly Mattingly affiliated with Belmont UMC on September 3, 2006. Molly, a 4th year Master of Divinity Student at Vanderbilt, is currently interning at Belmont UMC, focusing on Christian Education and Discipleship Formation. Her home church is in Wisconsin.

August 2006

Owen Christopher Tench, son of Vicki and Chris Tench and brother of Caleb and Riley, received the sacrament of baptism on August 27, 2006. Owen was born April 8, 2006.

Brendon Vaughan Chamblin, son of Rachel and James Chamblin and brother of Tripp, received the sacrament of baptism on August 27. Vaughn was born March 14, 2006.

Hattie Jean Gore, daughter of Pippa and John Gore, granddaughter of Dianne Gore, and greatgranddaughter of Jean Dean, received the sacrament of baptism on August 20, 2006. Hattie Jean was born on August 20, 2005.

July 2006

Seth and Victoria Robertson joined Belmont UMC on July 17, 2006 by transfer from another denomination. Since the time of their joining, Seth and Victoria have welcomed twins, Pheobe Rose and Isabelle Wren into their family. The girls were born on September 10, 2006.

John Ashley Wiltshire and Alexander Matthew Wiltshire, sons of Lisa and Matthew Wiltshire, received the sacrament of Baptism on July 23. John was born August 25, 2003 and Alex was born December 20, 2005. Lisa and Matthew joined Belmont UMC by transfer from another United Methodist Church.

Eileen Wills joined Belmont UMC on July 23 by transfer from another United Methodist Church. Eileen is a principal for Nashville Metro Public Schools and is married to Bishop Dick Wills of the Tennessee and Memphis Conferences.

David Oliver Gunter, son of Catherine and Oliver Gunter, received the sacrament of baptism on Sunday, July 23, 2006. David was born on March 24, 2006.

June 2006

Zaw Lott received the sacrament of baptism and joined Belmont UMC on Sunday, June 4, 2006. Zaw, who participates in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday School Class, is originally from Burma.

Saw Lin and his wife, Mar Mar Khin, joined Belmont UMC by transfer from another Christian denomination on June 4, 2006. They participate in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday school class. Mar Mar and Saw are originally from Rangoon, Burma.

Phyu Thit joined Belmont UMC on June 4, 2006 by transfer from another Christian denomination. Phyu participates in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday school class and is originally from Burma.

Nang Suan Kap, Dong Khan Dim, and their son, Lian Sian Sang, joined Belmont UMC by transfer from another denomination June 4, 2006. They participate in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday School Class and are originally from Chin State, Burma.

Gideon Klaing and Shu Mah Wah received the sacrament of baptism on June 4, 2006. They are the children of Saw Aung Klaing and his wife, Nan Than Yee who joined Belmont UMC by transfer from another denomination. They participate in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday School Class and are originally from Burma.

S’kayaw Lwin Soe, his wife Khin Mar San, and their daughter Theingi Soe all received the sacrament of baptism on June 4, 2006. S’Kayaw Lwin and Khin Mar joined Belmont UMC by profession of faith. Theingi was born August 20, 2001. The family participates in the Golden Triangle worship service and is originally from Burma.

Kevin Curevich joined Belmont UMC by transfer from another United Methodist Church on Sunday, June 18. Kevin works in the field of fashion design and his hobbies include art and travel. Kevin lives in East Nashville.

Esther Ngue Hluan and Tin Sang joined Belmont UMC by from another Christian denomination on June 4, 2006. They participate in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday School Class. Esther and Tin are originally from Chin State, Burma.

Hnin Hrang joined Belmont UMC on June 4, 2006, by transfer from another Christian denomination. Hrnin is originally from Chin State, Burma. Hnin participates in the Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday School Class.

Myint Lian Thawng, who participates in Belmont’s Golden Triangle worship service and Sunday school class, received the sacrament of baptism on Sunday, June 4, 2006. Myint and his brother, Ro Lian (also pictured), joined Belmont, Ro by transfer from another denomination and Myint by profession of faith. Their native country is Burma.

David Hardwick joined Belmont UMC on Pentecost Sunday, June 4, 2006, by transfer from another Christian denomination. David is a member of Belmont’s Sanctuary Choir. David is currently working as a software quality assurance analyst.

Charles Warfield, Sr., joined Belmont UMC on Sunday, June 4, 2006, by transfer from another Christian Denomination. Charles was an active member of Belmont many years ago.

Tristan Atman Simmons, son of Cameron and David Simmons, brother of Sophia, received the sacrament of baptism on June 4. Tristan was born June 7, 2005. Cameron and David Simmons joined Belmont United Methodist Church by transferring their membership from another United Methodist Church. The Simmons family lives in West Nashville.

May 2006

Michelle and Haley Williams, mother and daughter, both received the sacrament of baptism and joined Belmont UMC together on May 21, 2006. Haley was also a member of the confirmation class of 2006.

Marianne Bevil joined Belmont United Methodist Church by transfer from another United Methodist Church on Sunday, May 28, 2006. Marianne works as a children’s photographer in Nashville.

April 2006

Jason Rohner joined Belmont United Methodist Church on April 23, 2006, by transfer from another Christian denomination. He is a graduate student at Vanderbilt University. Jason is engaged to Belmonter Heather Day. They are planning a May 2007 wedding at Belmont.

March 2006

Karen Bergeron joined Belmont United Methodist Church on March 26, by transfer from another United Methodist Church. Karen is the daughter of the late Mickey Bergeron.

Carrie and Justin Hall joined Belmont UMC on March 12, by transfer from Fairview United Methodist Church. Carrie is a middle school teacher and Justin is a construction manager. The Halls are members of the Aldersgate Sunday school class and work as volunteers with Belmont’s Youth.

February 2006

Sandra and Cecil Lackore joined Belmont UMC on Sunday, February 19, by from another United Methodist Church. Sandra is the General Secretary of General Council on Finance and Administration and Cecil is a retired United Methodist elder from the Desert Southwest Conference.

January 2006

Suzanne Jenkins joined Belmont UMC on January 29, by transfer from another Christian denomination. Suzanne is a social worker at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center and is married to Belmonter Carl Jenkins.

Mike Stubbs joined Belmont UMC on January 29, by transfer from another Christian denomination. Mike is retired, enjoys fishing and is married to Belmonter Judy Stubbs.

Heather Harriss and Michael Stephens joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from other Christian denominations. Heather is an ordained minister in the American Baptist Church and works at St. Thomas Hospital. Michael has a Ph.D. in Church History and works for a religious publishing house. Their children are Daniel and Emma Stephens.

Eleanor and John Kennedy joined Belmont UMC on January 22, by transfer from another Christian denomination. Eleanor is an elementary school teacher for Metro schools and John is an attorney.

Todd Jackson joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from First United Methodist Church of Martin, TN. Todd works as a credit manager for Advocate Capital. He lives in the Hillsboro Village Area.

Angie Williams joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from Ashland City United Methodist Church. Angie is employed by Mastrapasqua Asset Management and is a member of the Two or More Sunday School class.

Cindy Haley joined Belmont UMC on January 8 by transfer from First United Methodist Church of Murfreesboro. Cindy lives in Antioch.

B.C. Hudson and Odell Pullen joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from other denominations. B.C. is a garden designer and her husband, Odell, is an architect.

Catherine and Adam Towsley joined Belmont UMC on January 8. Catherine transferred her membership from Geneseo UMC and Adam from another denomination. The Towsleys work at Pope John Paul II High School.

Iahli Patale joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from from the Evangelical Church of Chad. Iahli (pronounced“Yelli”) is a graduate student in Economics at Vanderbilt University.

Jane Karonga joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from the United Methodist Church of Zimbabwe. Jane is a graduate student in Economics at Vanderbilt University.

Frankie Cowan joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from another Christian denomination. She works for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and is a member of the Graham-Inquirers Sunday School Class.

Connie Flood joined Belmont UMC on January 8, by transfer from First UMC of Tuscaloosa, AL. She is an instructor of English as a Second Language at Nashville State Community College and a member of the Aldersgate Sunday School Class.

Laura and Phil Christopherson joined Belmont UMC on January 8. Laura transferred her membership from Custer Road UMC in Plano, Texas and Phil joined by transfer from another Christian denomination. Laura works for Senior Health, Inc. and Phil is in pharmaceutical sales.

Anne and Tony McKnight joined Belmont UMC on January 8. Anne and Tony are lifelong Methodists and are from Nashville. Anne transferred her membership from Glendale UMC and Tony transferred his membership from Southend UMC.

Nancy Carlisle received the sacrament of Baptism on January 8, 2006 and joined Belmont UMC by profession of faith. Michael Mack, Nancy’s husband, joined Belmont by transfer from another denomination. Nancy and Michael are both in graduate studies in psychology at Vanderbilt University.
