Centering prayer group
Beginning January 11, you are invited to join others in an experience of centering prayer on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. in Room 222. We will continue to use the art from the book, Contemplative Vision: a Guide to Christian Art and Prayer, by Juliet Benner as our guide. No previous experience with this group is required. All are welcome to join at any time. Each week is self-contained.
Centering prayer is a method of prayer that enables you to take at least a few minutes of your day to open yourself to God in stillness and silence. It is being with God, giving the Holy Spirit the freedom to act and lead however the Spirit chooses. This involves making space for God and cultivating loving attentiveness to God.
We hope you will join us as you begin the New Year open to God’s guidance in your life. If you have questions, please contact Pam Hawkins 383-0832, or
