What started out as a fund-raising effort resulted in an amazing mission project for the community. In addition to raising $7400 toward the 2010 youth choir tour to southern California, the event exceeded expectations in many ways. Belmonters and friends were extremely generous in contributing items for the sale. Through these gifts, our neighbors and we benefited from the “priced-to-sell” merchandise. A large number of visitors entered our building, browsed the sale, asked questions about our church, and walked away with bargain priced necessities. The new Community Center building’s accessibility, generous floor space, and visible location was an ideal space for hosting this monumental event. In addition to serving as an outreach for the community, the Golden Triangle Fellowship inherited copious amounts of clothes, furniture, electronics, and household items. Thanks Belmont for your generous contributions and thanks to our youth and parents for their tireless efforts. Stay tuned for the next rummage sale opportunity!
