Belmont United Methodist women honored Sue Smith and Tina Hazelwood with Special Mission Recognition pins for their years of dedicated service at the Christmas meeting. Tina has been treasurer of the Belmont UMW or of the District UMW for the past sixteen years. Sue has lead UMW’s social action efforts for a number of years.
    
UMW announces the following officers for 2010: President - Linda Henson, Vice President - Sue Mather, Secretary - Beverly Job, and Treasurer - Camilla Myers.

Circle leaders include Abigail, Jane Gray; Anna, Dot Ann Barrick;  Lydia, Marie Nowell; Mary, Andrea Murdock; Ruth,  Jeannie McCutchan and Starr Strickland;  Sarah, Beverly Job and Louise Jordan.
    
All Belmont women are encouraged to join the UMW. The UMW meets monthly in small groups called Circles and as a whole quarterly during the year. The UMW’s focus is on missions and fellowship. Contact Melba Burroughs (292-8447) for more information.
