Thanks to the many Belmonters who responded to our request to help pay our fair share of conference askings in 2011. On January 11, Belmont made a payment of $115,710 to the conference.  After considering prior payments, BUMC paid $247,876 or 95.7% of our fair share.  While we would have preferred to pay the remaining $11,272 and achieve 100%, this does represent an increase of $7,276 over what we paid last year.  On Sunday I shared with you our need for about $30,000 more and over the past few days, we received about $19,000 toward this effort.  Once again Belmonters have responded and have made a significant difference to the programs and ministries of the connectional church. Now we can turn our attention to 2012;  let’s make it a 100% year.
