“Adam's Gift” Reading and Conversation Group

Beginning Sunday, January 15 and continuing through 2012 on the third Sunday of each month from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (Parker Hall) and/or on the third Monday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.(Room 202). A reading and discussion group will be offered to continue to foster holy conversation about the welcome, inclusion, and participation of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning brothers and sisters in the church. We will begin with the book Adam’s Gift by Jimmy Creech, and later in the year, will read The Children are Free by Rev. Jeff Miner and John Tyler Connoley. Reading assignments will be made for each monthly gathering and Rev. Pam Hawkins will facilitate the group discussions. Sunday dates: 1/15; 2/19; 3/18; 4/15; 5/20; 6/17; 7/15; 8/19; 9/16; 10/21; 11/18 in Parker Hall.  Monday dates: 1/30 (do not want to begin on MLK day); 2/20; 3/19; 4/16; 5/21; 6/18; 7/16; 8/20; 9/17; 10/15; 11/19 in Room TBA.
