Living into our baptismal vows, we establish connections among family, church, and the spiritual formation of our children. We explore how our homes can be places of rest and celebration, of meaning and deep connection, of creativity and acceptance, of real commitment and spontaneous laughter.  Young and old, we journey together, learning again and again that we are children of God.

Children and youth check-in system

Children and youth ministries is excited about the new computerized check-in system that we have begun using. Parents are asked to assist children and youth to use the check-in system in the foyer on Sunday mornings and in the Community Center on Wednesday evenings. All children and youth will be able to print a nametag with their name and Sunday School class or childcare room. Persons who are visiting will be able to add their information and also print a nametag.

This system increases our safety and security with all children and youth wearing a name tag. Parents of young children will receive an additional tag with a code in order to pick-up their child(ren) from childcare or from Sunday School. With this system we are also able to computerize our attendance records so that we can track and follow-up with children, youth, and families who are not attending on a regular basis.

You will find that it is easy to use this touch-screen system. You will need to enter the first few letters of your family’s last name. A screen will list all the children and youth in your family. Check the child(ren) and/or youth that are attending and click “next” and then “print”. The nametags will print. During these first few weeks, we will have a volunteer at the check-in system to answer any of your questions.

Thank you in advance for your patience as we all learn to use this system. Over the next several weeks will be monitoring traffic flow patterns and in the near future will permanently mount the systems on the wall in various locations throughout the building.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Susan Groseclose.

Nursery and Childcare at Belmont

Nursery Care
We provide a nursery staffed by trained childcare workers for children from age 6 weeks up to 3 years.  Children age 3 by September 1 begin in our Sunday School Program.

Our regular Sunday nursery hours are: 8:15 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Our regular Wednesday night nursery hours are: 5:45 p.m.-9:00 p.m.

Childcare is available by prior arrangement for children grade 6 and younger whose parents or guardians are attending meetings, classes or other events at the church.  Contact Linny Jesse, our childcare coordinator at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to request childcare.   It is expected that the parent will remain in the church building.

Our nursery is a place where each child is received into a nurturing, warm, and inviting environment. Dedicated, CPR/First Aid trained, and caring staff serve along with parent volunteers as role models and provide care for most worship services, as well as for many of the ongoing activities on our church.

Our Nursery rooms are located on the first floor, rooms 111 and 115.  Numbered labels and name tags alert workers to allergies and special needs and provide safety in knowing that our babies and toddlers are picked up by their parents or guardians.

Children's Church

Each Sunday, children ages 3-5 are invited to follow the light of Christ upstairs for children’s church. Our children’s church order of worship was created by Jennifer Nimmo and Bruce Williams. Jennifer and her husband, David, regularly lead our children in learning more about the Bible and who we are as children of God. Each Sunday we make a simple craft that relates to our Bible story, and we hear the Bible story from a puppet friend.
