InterFAITH Walk
InterFAITH Walk

On July 19, Belmonters joined over 300 people—fellow United Methodists as well as brothers and sisters from other faiths and other
denominations— united as neighbors in faith witnessing to the universal love of God. Belmont- Hillsboro and Hillsboro-West End neighborhoods have enjoyed a peaceful relationship with the Islamic Center for 31 years. The group gathered to celebrate the respectful relationships enjoyed and publicly stated its intention to continue in that way. This interfaith walk affirmed how, despite significant differences, we are united at the historic core of our faith traditions, and so Christians, Jews, and Muslims walked peacefully together from Hillsboro Village to the Islamic Center.
